About me
My Name is William Elliott, I’m 20 years old and I am currently studying Games Technology at Bournemouth University. I am a punctual person as I am always on time for school and social events. As well as that I would say that I am dedicated and committed as once I have started a task I will not finish it until it has been completed to the best of my ability. I can work well in a team and I have experiences in team work as I used to play football but I am capable of completing tasks on my own as well.
Work experience
James Walker May 2010
RESPONSIBILITIES
During my week of work experience with James Walker I was asked to find problems with their newly updated website and try and find any problems with it like and links not working. Once I had found these problems I was then asked to fix them by fixing the link and making sure that it took you to the right page. I was also asked to assist on a photo shoot in which certain products were showcased. I enjoyed my work experience and it allowed me to improve my skills as I was in an unfamiliar situation and I had to adapt to it. It also helped me improve my team and communication skills as I was put in to a new group and I had to socialise and get to know them in order to fulfil my tasks.
B&Q- Building Customer Advisor
September 2014 - September 2015
I spent a year working for B&Q as customer advisor in the building section. My job involved helping customers with the needs that they had, I would replenish stock and help keep my section of the store tidy. I was also specially trained on the Timber Saw and would often be asked to do demonstrations at the front of the store on selected power tools. During my time there I greatly improved my knowledge on a wide range of products ranging from power tools to sheet wood. From my time at B&Q, my team work skills and ability to communicate with strangers has greatly improved.
