The map that I have created will be for a first person shooter game. I have made the map so that it could be for different game modes, as often maps are used for numerous game types. It could be used for a game of domination by having flags at the top of the mountain, in one of the office buildings and then by the islands in the river. It could also be used Team Deathmatch. I took inspiration from the Battlefield games as they often have large scale open maps so I went with the idea of having a few buildings on the bottom of a mountain.

Unreal Engine Map

The image above shows the majority of the map. You can see that the map has large moutain that has a small building on the side. you can alsoe see that there is a large forest area aswell as some offcie buildings.

The image above shows the largest building in the map. It is multi story and has a lift going to the roof. I wanted to add a large buidling so that it would add a new element to the map. I decided to have the building so that it gives players who wish to snipe another location. They will also have the mountain to do so.

The image above shows part of the river. I took inspiration from the Battlefield games series as they have large open scale maps that are very easy on the eye. I wanted to replicate this in my map, so alongside having buildings for the close quarter combat and for cover, i have the large open side of the map.

The image above shows the two smaller offices. Both are the same as often building will follow the same design and layout. The plan with these building was to make the glass in the buildings destructible so that players could shoot from inside the building.

The image above shows the the top of the mountain and the small house at the top. I wanted to have this in my map as i feel that it makes the perfect place for snipers to hide out. I also felt that if the map was being played on a capture game mode then the moutnain will make a hard place to capture.
